AIRTEL NIGERIA OFFERs CUSTOMER 16k/sec CALL RATE DURING EASTER

Leading Telecommunications Services Provider, Airtel has put smile on the faces of its customers across Nigeria with the introduction of a special Easter Offer which allows them to make calls to Airtel numbers at only 16k/sec during this Easter period.

Starting from Thursday, April 22nd 2011 till Monday, April 25, 2011, existing and new 2Good Xtra prepaid customers of Airtel will be able to make calls for as low as 16 kobo per seconds in a new offer designed to empower customers during the Easter season.

Airtel says the special Easter offer is specially designed to delight customers during the duration of the Easter period and will also afford telecoms consumers across the country a rare opportunity to stay in touch with family, friends and loved ones as they celebrate an outstanding religious figure.

According to the Chief Operating Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Deepak Srivastava, the Airtel Easter offer is one of the ways the company is joining its numerous customers in celebrate the season just as it opens an opportunity for customers to connect with their circle of friends, loved ones and others at an amazingly discounted rate.

“Airtel Nigeria is committed to creating a brand that will be the most loved in Nigeria. We will always go out of our way to seek opportunities to delight, empower and reward our esteemed customers. The Easter season provides such an opportunity and we will never hold back in creating fun, joy and happiness for all of our customers in Nigeria,” Said Srivastava.

The Airtel Chief further disclosed that the Easter promo, which applies to all 2Good and Valumax subscribers on the network, will run from April 22nd to 25th, 2011, also noting that customers can begin to activate the offer from April 20th by dialing *400*1#.

Subscription to the Airtel Easter Offer attracts an access fee of N100 only.

The Easter season, a federal public holiday period in Nigeria, marks the end of forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.

Airtel has been one of the major drivers of affordable telecommunication tariff across Nigeria, a development that has brought smiles to the faces of Nigerians.

ETISALAT NIGERIA INTRODUCES EASY PASS SERVICE

Etisalat Nigeria has announced the introduction of Easy Pass service to enable subscribers in countries within the West African region where Moov network is available to make and receive calls, send and receive SMS at a uniform discounted rate irrespective of the visited country.
The easy pass service would in addition avail subscribers the lowest call rates to call loved ones back in Nigeria at N40/min.
Currently accessible in six countries including Benin Republic, Togo, Niger, Gabon, Central African Republic, and Cote D’Ivoire; Easy Pass is available to both prepaid and post paid subscribers on the Etisalat Network.
According to Etisalat Nigeria’s Chief Commercial Officer, Wael Ammar, “at Etisalat, we are constantly introducing services with the purpose of making it easy for our customers to stay connected to their business associates, and loved ones wherever they are, at a very affordable cost. Easy Pass is available by default. Our prepaid and postpaid subscribers simply need to switch on their devices upon arrival at any of the countries participating in the easy pass service and select the Moov network.
Ammar further explained that prepaid subscribers who intend to use their Etisalat numbers while in any of the six West African countries that have Moov network can easily recharge while roaming by using their normal Etisalat recharge cards or request their family and friends to recharge their lines from Nigeria using the unique “recharge others” service or balance transfer. Postpaid subscribers will need to visit any of Etisalat Experience Centres to enable the roaming service if it is not already enabled.
Etisalat Nigeria previously introduced prepaid roaming services in nine popular countries spanning Benin Republic , Cameroun , Egypt , South Africa , India , the United States of America , United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
